I am fairly new to the 3D Printing world. I wanted to put the VIKI2 on my older M2 so I could free up my laptop. I am having no success getting the firmware to work. I have tried 3 different Marlin configurations and I must be missing one stupid step. One variable is I believe I am currently using an older version of firmware that has the primary fans running constantly, and I know they updated them to shut off with newer versions. If that helps in any way. Please help!
Wish i could help you here. I personally use a raspberry pi and octoprint. It's not what you're asking i know, but it is a way to free up your laptop.
Have you updated the drivers for your rambo board? How old is your M2? prior to 2013? Have you upgraded new power supply 24v system? What do you mean by 'primary fans'? Are you talking about the board fan and the extruder fan? If so, these should be on all the time; it makes for a great failsafe to overheating. Trust me, after burning out my connectors and fuses, leave those fans on!!!!
hope this helps,
I have no idea how to help you here, BUT, if you head over to the makergear forums, there are some super helpful people over there. check it out!
