My printer is flyingbear ghost. LCD controller writes current print state to SD card to allow resuming if power fails.
It is constantly writing data to SD card to record print progress.
Problem is that its not doing it very well. If power fails, gco file gets corrupted and if you attempt to print it again, it will most likely drive hot end where it does not belong creating problems and even breaking the machine.
(i pulled SD card out of the printer and looked at gcode preview of my print. see attached picture)
I confirmed this many times. Its not bad card, its not windows fails to write to the card. I would write to the card, then open preview gcode in a different program just to verify SD card file is not corrupted. Then i take it to the printer and it prints.
If i turn printer off, i no longer able to print that same file about 50% of the time.
Any help with that ?
SD card write protection switch is not helping. Controller is cheap and does not check that by design.
Firmware hack maybe ?
I've heard there's an updated version of the firmware available at some facebook page. I don't use Facebook so I can't access the page or files. Could some kind soul upload the newer firmware here, if it's legally possible to do so?
Edit: P905X; LCD, Single extruder, Dual Z
I would like to Update my LCD with the German Language and a newer Version of the LCD-Firmware..
So... I just downloaded the Russian/English Version of the Firmware and Installed it. Now it does not Work anymore.. Nice.. NOT
So, i just wrote the Flyingbear Support to ask them for a Firmware of the LCD...
Do you know, where to get the Firmware ? I didn´t find it in the Google-Drive, where it should be..
Sorry for my bad English..
I have been trying to print ant it seems that the heat break cooling fan is not working. And that means the heat creeps up in the ptfe tube and filament preventing a good print. Any tips on what the problem might be? I have checked all my plugs and they are fully seated.
