Bowden tube moving at the extruder end.

by Collis

I had my capricorn tubing slip out of the bowden coupler at the extruder side. Apparently, it was a faulty coupler and I replaced it with (a much more solid feeling) one that was in the spare parts bag that came with the printer. I now regularly check if the tube is still in place.

Prints are good to perfect.

I found that during printing, the capricorn tubing slides into the coupler about 1.5 to 2 mm while retracting, then is pushed out that same amount when extruding again. My gut sais: That's not good, but I have really no idea. Is this movement normal? Should I make sure that the bowden tube doesn't move at all in the coupler at the extrusion side?

I've googled a lot, but didn't find anything relevant, not even for other printers (Just found one video on youtube that shows exactly what I see on my CR-10S Pro, but no "This is good or not good" comments by the filmer or in the comments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRtPavLglzY

Can anyone enlighten me?

Bed Plate Replacement?

by Slivers

Based on auto-leveling, it seems my bed-plate is warped with the middle bowing down a bit causing printing to be difficult on the first layer. What is the exact replacement for the removable bed that came with the Pro? It seems to be aluminum but the only thing I can find online is glass. Being aluminum / magnetic is important as I'm replacing the leveling sensor to a magnetic one. Thanks!
