Looking for some kind of bearing or similar thing. It's hard to explain or i'd just look it up on google.
Picture a ball point pen. The ball on the end allows the pen to move back and forth, side to side, or in circles. It can move completely free on a flat plane. Im looking for a flat bearing that does exactly that to make some kind of shock absorbing feet for my 3D printers.
Anyone able to identify what kind of printer this is?
hi, ive been looking for a way for my printer to know when its supply of filament has run out, i think i may have found a simple solution but i wanted to have other peoples views on it before i try it and find out too late that ive over looked something.
so i intend on using a roller tipped nc micro switch attache dto my bowden extruder that will have the filament roll along it keeping it pressed, when the filament runs out the switch is released and makes a connection that signals my ramps/arduino to pause. simple components and a small (hopefully) amount of coding.
whats your thoughts on the idea?
