MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
Some of the photogrammetry services or programs became out of free by time. I wanted to share my realy free method for current time:
After taking a series of photos or extracting extracting them from a video with VLC, i edit them by GIMP with or similiar free picture editing applications.
I use MVE at linux envirement. a little script is making the process easier to work. I guess there is way to use it with windows but i didn't try. MVE gives you a mostly cleaned dens point cloud at the end.
Then i preffer MESHLAB for more cleaning, repairing and simplification. Either MESHLAB can be used both at linux or windows.
At the last step, TINKERCAD is my favorite service to modify the STL file before printing. https://stephaneginier.com/sculptgl/ is an other usefull web site for more editing.
I made a youtube video in two parts
The link of the first part is:
The second part:https://youtu.be/_CWh-hOXa7U
I don't know why but, youtube doesn't show the second part HD. Any idea?
Thanks for the videos -left you a message on YouTube
What is MVE? Is it Multi-View Environment that I found here?
Yes .There are git projects too if don't remember wrong
I would love to see a video (on YouTube?) of your process.
That was in my mind. I will do that in a few days i hope. I'm not good at youtube :)
If you do post it on YouTube, could you message me directly (on Thingiverse)?
I really don’t want to miss it -thanks.
