G'day OpenBuilds, just some feedback on these corner connectors if you are still following this page-
We used some aluminium cube corner connectors for a manual x/y gantry in our lab some time ago. I have linked some images below (hope you can see them). We found that when using a single cube attached to a length of v-slot with a v-wheel like one of your suggested images, there was a tendency for the cube to pivot away from the wheel's plane of rotation - making for loose/sloppy movement that got worse over time, even when using tight hex screws. We found that we needed to use 2 linked cubes or an end stop to prevent this rotation. As shown in my attached images both solutions seemed to work but was a bit of an inconvenience. We found more success with a v-slot gantry as bolted under our scissor platform. Also with the aluminium cubes, it was very difficult to fit 2 or 3 M5 button screws inside the space without some effort or grinding at least one side of the screw head.
