MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
Going to largely depend on what you are looking for. Most competitions are run from the organizer's site - so you would would need to check directly - Pinshape usually has something going on for example. For magazines, I quite like Make and Disruptive but they cover a range of technologies. Your best best is joining one of the 3D printing groups (I belong to the main one on G+) lots of helpful people and often news is posted there too.
