MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
Almost. Top, Bottom, one of the Gantry sets, plus the Bed Parts, and the main printer will be done.
If you go for a 400mm Y travel, you should use two Z motors. Do not print the rear bed parts and rod supports, and print the front parts (motor mount and bed/rod supports) twice. Also, cut the 2 bed Y extrusions about 10mm shorter. Everything else will fit fine.
There is an Extrusion_Calculator.xls (Excel) file. You can enter your desired print surface and it will automatically calculate all of the extrusion and rod lengths. The usable print surface is roughly 100mm shorter than the X rods and 80mm shorter than the Y rods.
