that depends on how u want to do it :D and what specs your printer and LEDs have.
Assuming u have a 12V or 24V System and want simply 8 white LEDs with manual switching you can do as shown in the matching attached image, just add a switch. ( I have 6 LEDs with a manual switch, 24V, 180Ohm)
I guess the german in the images should not be a big problem :)
If u want remote control u can replace the manual switch by one of these Arduino Relay boards.
if you have a spare Pin (e.g. 200) on your 3d printer electronic board I guess u can use the g-code M42 200 255 the enable and M42 200 0 disable the LEDs http://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M042.html
For a other project I have connected those relays to a RasPi works fine too, not sure if there is a octopi plugin for that.
U could go the transistor/mosfet way too to get it smaller but it has been a long time since I "designed" a circuit with them.
