MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
I've released a new update optimized for speed when printing. Note that this does not have tree supports, gyroid infill, etc. enabled by default. I therefore have included instructions for enabling them below.
Enter the 'infill' tab and change the infill type from zigzag to gyroid using the drop-down box.
Disable support generation within the 'support' section. Then go to the 'experimental' section and check the box for tree support.
Go to 'shell' and check the box for ironing.
Creawesome refuses to import the profile in Cura 4.2.1 but I have been informed by the developers that this already works for the 4.3 beta.
As a result of this, you will need to create a new machine profile if you wish to use this print profile.
My start/end GCODE is as follows:
G1 Z15.0 E15
G1 X1 Y1 Z16
G1 X0 Y0 Z17
G1 X1 Y1 Z18
G1 X0 Y0 Z19
G1 X1 Y1 Z20
G1 X0 Y0 Z21
G1 X1 Y1 Z22
G1 X0 Y0 Z23
G28 X0 Y0
Make sure the filament diameter is set to 1.75 mm. And in case anyone is wondering, the maximum printable volume on the Ender 3 is 235 X by 235 Y mm with 260mm of Z travel.
