MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
So the rear plate of the carbine kit has to be removed to insert the pistol, and then attached once the pistol's been inserted, but that's it. There is space for the sights to move freely through the receiver.
I'll note though that the rear plate isn't essential for functionality, and the mounting system I designed for it doesn't work as well as I'd like, so it may be best to skip that one part when your print it.
