MakerBot Print is our newest print-prepration software, which supports native CAD files and STL assemblies,
allows you to interact with all your printers via the Cloud, and many other exciting new features.
Nice idea, but with a huge and life treatening making. Your printer runs on a 12 or 24V DC System, which has no ground on the components. Now you put a 220 V AC Voltage switch on a not grounded frame. Man you play with your life or the life of the system.
You have a live switch with AC Current and you don´t make a holder or so to get a secure insulating of the contacts to the frame?
Where do you think will the 220 V AC Voltage go incase of a shortcut to the frame?
Right, it will go straight into your internal DC Components and will fry everything.
So please make a separat ground of the incoming Voltage to the frame to make sure that you FI will fly out instead
of killing yourself. The idea is nice but before you play with seperate voltages (DA/AC) in a system talk to some electricians.
