Well, if you like to paint with brushes Lacquer or enamel 'cause it paints smoothly and does not leaves brush marks.
But it takes much time to cure. Acrylics are good too dries faster but depending of the quality can leave a lot of brush marks.
Priming is always recommended. If you don't sand, the paint flows through the layer lines but priming can solve this issue.
I recommend you to buy little quantities to test and use what you likes more.
