I've tried this with one-part high temp silicone RTV (both thinned and unthinned), but I was unable to open the mold after curing without destroying it and the silicone. I tried using Smooth-On Mold Release and degassing in a vacuum chamber - no luck. It seems the silicone sticks to the mold too well.

I'd try the 2-part platinum-cure silicone, but I haven't found one with a high enough temperature rating.

Is there some secret technique I'm missing?
