I think the issue is that you keep listing what you take off. You should really include the length, with how you arrived at it. That way, if any error in the actually shipped length of rail won't effect the outcome of a build. While its harder to be precise with these lengths, it will provide more context to builders of where they should end up. Further, there is ambiguity in listing what you take off; does it include the kerf of the cutting tool or not? While having the final length, its very clear.
