Thanks for the reply! I use Makerbot Desktop. I should hevrephrased my original post. My merged files kept ripping up and/or melted onto the extruder. So far, progress is being made. Also, is the silicone lubricant necessary if the build plate smooths the bottom of the corners? My kapton does a good job of getting surfaces to be smooth.
