I like to design and print models for various reasons. I like 40k, but would never spend hundreds or thousands on those models, so I decided to try printing them, and now with just my ender 3 pro, I'm making several entire 40k armies that look just as good, if not better than the originals for an average of 5 cents per normal model instead of $5.
I also run a dnd game for my friends, so I make a lot of minis, terrain, and tiles for us to use in our game.
Rarely, I'll print something just because it looks cool, but usually I print with a game in mind.
Overall, I think it's a great creative outlet, and in 4 months I have saved over $3,000 by printing models instead of buying them. Not that I would've bought them anyway, quite frankly GW scams it's customers, and I won't add to that any more than I already have from buying specific and overpriced paints.
Print more minis!!!
