I'm originally a full-blood-chemist since I was 8 years old and half-time-hippie, half-time-yuppie and full-time goanaut - but felt in a obsessive love with 3D-printing after buying an Zonestar Prusa-i3-Clone in February 2016, now I'm "making" a lot and nerding around in new horizons :)

Currently working on three huge projects on my own
One 32x32x30cm ultra silent UM-2 rebuild with high printquality, ultra light X- and Y-Axis, full metal hotend, dual-extrusion, 700W 6mm plan cast aluminium heatbed, less than 30dB@1m at 60mm/s (without optimal object cooling for big layer PLA prints yet though, still some tuning necessary) an still much more silent than most printers at 120-180mm/s which is almost finished which I all already achieved. 120mm/s is works perfectly well so far, 180mm gets ringing artifacts Only finetuning on Z-Axis, silent but small and still effective object cooling, tuning of enclosures for some electronics and cablemanagement left). Most important and biggest feature of the printer will be that it will cost only 320-350€ in the non-silent version and around 400€ in the ultra-silent version (to achieve low noise level I use higher quality bearings, tuned high quality fans and most important original TMC2100 from Watterott which are making the printer more expensive. Unfortunately all chinese TMC2100 from MKS and Anycubic I tried were useless for the accerlations the build can handle, and I found them to be even sometimes problematic for 60mm/s, especially for geared extruders and high retraction speed etc..
I'm also designing on a second "DICE"-alike printer but for very small budgets, which comes with a small build area of roughly 12*12cm but with a revolutionary new kind of super stable frame -->which doesn't cost more than a usual frame made from 2020 extrusions or wood<--, Frame is already finished but I will keep it's design as a secret untill first satifying prototype is ready for a release
And I'm also planning and a simple but effective 70x70cm CO2 Laser with Z-Axis for <400€ target price which can be wall mounted vertically. but design is in on a very early pre-alpha stage. If it ever reaches the beta-status isn't clear yet.
