I am an elementary teacher that started Cat's Science Club a few years back.
Cat’s Science Club puts on science (STEM) camps for schools. These camps can be held after school, held on days students have off, or during the summer. The camps are hands-on and great fun for the students. Each camp will have at least one certified teacher and an assistant working with the kids depending on the number of students attending.
The name Cat’s Science Club came from my daughter whom I call Aly Cat. She inspired me to take my love of science and the fun I have with my students to as many people as I can. Both my girls help with the camps and use money earned to help pay for college.
I love teaching science. I have been teaching for 24 years! I am currently teaching fourth grade at Delta Elementary. The camps remind me of why I became a teacher. I see the awe in the kids eyes as they learn a new concept, grasp a difficult abstract idea, or just simply enjoy science.
